Heysham Power Station, Lancs
This striking building was designed to become the important public interface to Heysham Power Station.
The Visitor Centre, which was designed to cater for 100,000 visitors per year, contained extensive exhibition and display areas, café and seminar rooms. The first floor also housed a training centre for power station staff.
The centre was designed with a contemporary industrial aesthetic, which featured large areas of glazing to make the building welcoming to members of the public.
